Al's first tune was a ragtime, composed at age 10 on an old piano in the garage. He is self-taught and plays by ear. He writes songs for solo release, tv, radio and theatre. He is currently recording his solo album of originals for release Autumn 2025 with working title ‘ Frontier Town.’ Details of release coming soon.

Al regularly works in the theatre as composer and actor. He is has just completed the first leg of the tour of new musical 'Facing the Waves' with recent performances at the Lyric Theatre, London. A full theatre tour is currently being booked for 2027. He is currently working with the actor Alan Williams on 'Is this Full Moon Over', a two-hander play with songs. Workshop performances later this Summer watch this space. Al has written theme tunes musical content and scores for many TV programmes.
